If you would like to look at Seattle stuff, check the Seattle Loftcam and virtual loft for the
harborcam, boating and art
info, and its live cams
around Seattle, see the Cam shots of the University
of Washington, or for more usual sites look at Yahoo's
Seattle links. Be sure to see the University of Washington home page
with its almost live shot of the campus. The Jesuits run Seattle University on First Hill
(also called "pill hill" because of all the hospitals found there.) The
Seattle Times has a Centenial
site on Seattle with lots of stories and pictures. The
Seattle Virtual Tour is a must
see. Read about the Ye Olde
Curiosity Shoppe on the Waterfront and its mummies. Pioneer Square is a great
historic district that goes back to the beginning of the city. Check
out the Port
of Seattle and its Waterfront
attractions. Look at the Seattle King County visitor's
resources. Green Lake.
Travel in Washington has a photo gallery of Washington State, and a winter sports link list.
Seattle has its own National Park, i.e. the Klondike God Rush Historical Park, Seattle Unit. Additional historical material can be found at the Washington State History Link.
Especially in winter it is useful to check the weather information sites to to avoid trouble: the National Weather Service Information for Seattle is the most comprehensive source of information. KOMO's weather center is an good place to find weather and climate information in our state, especially the weather map for the southern Washington State area. See the Weather page for Seattle.
For transportation in Washington State look at the WSDOT home page and its extensive travelor's information. If you are interested in Seattle driving conditions (usually bad) check the WSDOT Puget Sound Traffic Cams. (I like the the bridge cams along 520, but the one on I-5 at Yessler is near the chancery). (One report says Seattle has the 6th worst driving congestion in the U.S.; it tied with Detroit.)
